On Thursday, June 24, 2010 Jordan graduated from his Internal Medicine Residency at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego.
Can you tell which one is Jordan?
During the speeches this is where Camille ended up...amongst the many flags. I just kept envisioning her knocking over the row of flags and making a huge scene, but thank goodness we left with no incident.
Mackenzie was so excited for Jordan's special day that she wanted to put curlers in her hair the night before.
Camille loving her big sister.
Jordan and his girls. They adore their daddy and are so proud of him.
Two years ago Sabrina and Mackenzie wore these same dresses for Jordan's intern graduation. It is crazy to think that now Kenzie is wearing Sabrina's dress and Camille wearing Mackenzie's. They grow up way too fast. :(
This little stinker has got her daddy wrapped around her finger.
Jordan and his fellow graduating Internal Medicine classmates. They are all headed to different places (other ships, Virginia, Betheseda, etc).
Later that night Jordan and I went on a date to a Navy tradition called "dining out" at the Horton Grand Hotel in downtown San Diego with his colleagues.
Jordan with his office mate, Russ, and fellow IM resident. Before dinner, everyone stood up and sang "Anchors Away." Jordan and the girls often sing it together with lots of vigor. While his buddies were reading the words from the program, Jordan sang quite enthusiastically. It was hilarious to see his buddies glance up from their programs with big eyes and curious looks. Classic!
Just a little peek at some of the "quirky" events at the dinner. I can't remember if they were headed to the grog or paying fines for their attire. Lets just say that this Navy tradition was not geared towards the "non-drinking." But alas, they had diet Coke. It was such a happy day! I was filled with tremendous love for my husband, family, and the men and woman who serve in the military. This medical training and Navy journey in our life is not over but it is always great to have events and times when we can celebrate milestones representing how far we have come and grown. I can not say I would want to go back and do any of it again, because I would be lying, but I would not change it or trade it for anything. I feel like I can write a book about the lessons I have learned these last 7 years (oh my gosh, has it really been that long), realizations about myself, my husband, our marriage and our ability to be better and stronger. May the journey continue with more learning and growth and fewer wrinkles and grey hair.....well maybe we can get a little break for just a little bit and life be uneventful. :)

Congratulations to you and your husband and your entire family for making it through and graduating! No better feeling. A thousand pounds lifted. Your girls are so totally darling, it's illegal. And that picture of you and your hubby, the black-and-white one -- WOW!! You are a stunner. That one should be blown up huge and put on a wall. Gorgeous! So what's next for you guys? Where are you headed to? Hope your summer's going well. Sorry for the enormous comment.

What a fantastic milestone. I love those little breaks in life when you get to look back on how far you come, and realize you have survived and how thankful you are for the journey. Congrats!
