Another family tradition (from my side) that has been past down is the making of Mickey Mouse Waffles (it was pancakes growing up) for breakfast on birthdays. Years back, my brother bought me a beautiful Mickey Mouse Waffle Iron because this tradition was also very special to him. Thanks Nik!

that looks so good - my mom used to make either mickey mouse or our initials out of the pancakes whenever she made them, I've tried it but maybe I would have more luck with a shaped waffle iron :)
