This year for Mackenzie's 4th Birthday she had a princess, and of course knight/king (Sabrina refuses to be a queen or princess, plus she wanted to invite boys) party. It was a Barbie and the Diamond Castle theme.
Here is our birthday girl!

It is hard to notice, but there is a castle pinata hanging in this picture. Mackenzie did not want to hit it or have anyone else come close to it. Oops, we forgot to prepare her.
Here is GaGa trying to get her to laugh versus cry. All it took was being able to hit GaGa in the bottom to get Kenzie rolling.
Mackenzie is always so gracious when I do anything just for her. As I was making her cake the night before, she kept asking if that was really for her. She just couldn't believe it.
I wish I could have gotten a picture of her face when it was all done. She said, "Wow, it is so beautiful. Is this really my cake?
I clearly remember my mom making every birthday cake for both me and my brother on our birthdays. The cakes were always yummy and beautifully decorated (better then any store bought cake) but what is most memorable is how I felt. I felt so special and important because she took the time to make it for me. When I had kids, I made it a goal to make every one of their cakes. This year, Mackenzie reminded me of why I do it.
