Date Night

Today Sabrina asked if she could plan a date for Jordan and me. She started out by making a checklist. This is what she wrote.... candles, music, dim lights, for food-chicken, kiss. She asked for the adults to wait and eat until after she and Mackenize were done. When they were finished Sabrina found some candles in the kitchen cupboard and lit them herself and put them on the table. Then she went outside and picked some daisies and put them in a small vase and placed between the candles. Then she gave us a choice between two music Cd's. She put the one we picked into the CD player and lowered the volume. Then she took our drink orders and poured our drinks. She wanted to wait until it got dark outside so that she could dim the lights. She had us sit down and served us our food. As we were sitting at our WONDERFUL dinner date and talking she sat on the couch watching us. She told us not to look at her because we were supposed to act like she was not there. When we needed something Sabrina came and served us. It was the best date we've had in a very long time!!! She said we were not done until we hugged and kissed. We are so lucky to have such a thoughtful, cute daughter. Thank you Sabrina.
On a side note, Mackenzie became very concerned when she heard we were going on a mommy and daddy date and there was no babysitter. She said in her concerned voice, "Are you going to leave us here by ourselves? I'll really miss you." She kept repeating her concern and still didn't get that we were having a date at home.
