Sabrina- almost 3 years oldTonight, I gave Camille her 1st hair cut/trim. As I was cutting her hair, I was reminiscing about when the other 2 girls got their first hair cut. I vividly remember living in Vermont after just having Mackenzie, when I took Sabrina for her first "real" haircut. When the younger 2 girls went to bed tonight, Sabrina and I went looking through old pictures to find a picture of when she got her haircut at this fun hair salon in Vermont.

Well, it didn't stop there. We spent quite awhile looking back at old pics and videos. I started to cry as I was watching this video of Sabrina. I don't know if this touched me so much because she is my 1st baby and we had almost 4 years together before her sisters were born or because I needed to be reminded how lucky I am that Heavenly Father entrusted me to be a mom to three beautiful daughters.
Why do my babies have to grow up so fast? I miss how HAPPY Sabrina was as a little girl. As I took a shower tonight I was thinking about how much these special moments matter. Do I let myself get caught up in the unimportant things in life, too often? Do I embrace these early years with my children? Have I been a good mom? Do they realize how much I love them? Okay, here come the tears again. Enough of the questions. :) When I got out of the shower, I checked on Sabrina to see if she was still awake. As we cuddled we talked about her memories living in Vermont. If she likes growing up. If she is glad to have sisters. Our special cuddle time ended with me telling her how lucky I feel to be her mom. As I left her room she said, "I'm glad you are my mom....so when can we spend some special you and me time together?" I just LOVE that girl. Thank you Sabrina for being my daughter!!!

You are a GREAT mom!! Sabrina is so lucky! It's even better that she knows it :)(And that little hair place is adorable.)
How fun! It's always fun to look back and remember those things. And I agree... you are a FABULOUS mom!
Ahh... cutie. I still remember the first night we met Sabrina... running around in her diaper while you guys were unpacking. How did the time pass to fast? Crazy.
Hey lady! Merry Christmas! I love the pics... keep them coming! I am trying to motivate myself to keep blogging but it is so much more fun when you can look at all your buddies kiddos and posts as you go. I hope you are well. We still need to plan a trip to hang out soon! We miss you guys!
