So last year at this time I offered to help my friend with teacher appreciation week by decorating the classroom door. Well, this year I am the room mom and was not successful in getting someone else to decorate the classroom door. So here we have, "Just a door, take 2." I again stressed over what to put the classroom door for her teacher. And yet again, I spent way too much time. In each of the musical notes there is a picture of the kids in the class. The letters all have mini musical notes. Mrs. Sivas plays the piano in class so I thought this was perfect. She LOVED it.
Okay, okay, I know what you are thinking...."Jessica is OCD." Shoot, I'll own it! :)
At the beginning of the week, my friend Angela, gave me a bunch of craft supplies which inspired me to make a few more things. I do recognize that I am not creative and especially not quick in putting things together, but I do enjoy it. One of the assigned days of the week was to give the teacher a class gift. There are lots of goodies inside the bucket. The top says, "Thank you Mrs. Sivas" and there are sayings around the outside.
Another day of the week was called, Tea (coffee, diet coke,etc) for Teachers. The class (i.e. the moms) brought the teacher his/her favorite beverage that morning. Well, Mrs. Sivas had a kidney stone attack the week before and was told to drink more water, but was having a hard time downing the water. So, I put together a bucket with a variety of crystal light packets along with water bottle that had personalized labels. I can't seem to get the picture of the label to upload. I thought it turned out pretty doggone cute. She LOVED it.
So there it is, my creative/craftiness for the year. Till next year. Ha! Ha!
