On Feb. 20, 2010 the girls went to the school Father/Daughter Hoedown Dance. This year because Mackenzie goes to preschool, at the same school as Sabrina, she brought home a flyer for the dance. She was super excited about the dance! As I was talking to Jordan about the date he realized he was scheduled to work an overnight shift that night. Mackenzie overheard and broke down crying because she wouldn't be able to go to the dance with her daddy. It truly broke Jordan's heart. Well, Jordan being the best daddy ever did everything in his power to go. It takes more effort than most people could imagine to switch a shift when one is in a medical residency. Most of the time, at least in the Navy, it is not possible and does not happen. Lets just say I was extremely grateful but there was a very little part of me that was resentful that he had never gone to that much effort to get away from work when I really needed him (i.e. when I had the flu, surgery, broke my ankle, etc). Jordan asked a fellow resident friend to come in on his day off to cover a few hours so he could get away and go to the dance with the girls. This was quite a nice gesture of his friends since they only get one day off a week.
It makes me laugh because Sabrina has always said that these jeans did not feel good and were too tight. Miraculously, they fit perfectly with my grandma's cowboy belt the night of the dance. Such a cute cowgirl!

How fun! I'm impressed that you have that many cowboy hats in your costume box. I need a costume box like that at our house.
They all look so cute! Im glad they had a blast!
Those are some cute little cowgirls! Someday they'll realize what great parents they have and how much work it took to make it a perfect evening.
Adorable pics. The girls look so TALL! Wow! I can't believe how quickly time is flying by...
We miss you and I hope to see you sometime soon. I gotta figure out a way to get down there :)
