The Tuesday before Christmas my mom and dad bought us season passes to Disneyland. We came up from San Diego and met my mom, brother, and Melissa. My poor dad was really sick and could not come. He LOVES Disneyland. Well, those of you who know my mom and brother probably would have planned on them running late. You would think by now after 30+ years of being a member of this family I would learn. Oh no, I stress and rush to get out of the house with 3 kids (with all the xmas stuff also to take up to my parents house after Disneyland) on time to be where we are supposed to be at the time we were told to meet them there. Why do I rush? Good question, because I am ALWAYS the one waiting having to entertain kids until the late dudes get there. Well this time it was over an hour and a half of waiting outside of Disneyland (cause my mom had all of the passes) for them to get there. I am beginning to think I am the stupid one for not learning by now that they WILL be late. Ahhh family....got to love them. So predictably I would be irritated and moody when my family finally arrived. But being that I am really trying to control this part of myself (yes it has been a continual process and it is stinkin' hard) I kept telling myself to let it go and not let it ruin the day or lead to an argument with my mom. So when they walked up I put a smile on my face and gave them a hug. What cracks me up is that a few minutes later my brother (who yes is always also late but complains about my mom being late) said to me, "Thanks sis for not being in a bad mood. It was a nice surprise." Love it :)
So these first few pictures were while we were waiting trying to pass the time after going into the stores. Oh ya, and the girls were amazingly patient. They must have gotten that from their dad :)
Okay seriously, he looks like an ex-con with that cap. Not that he cares...that is probably why he wore it now that I think about it :)

Oh ya, funny story. This was after we were in line getting our pictures for our passes. The lady taking the picture of my brother told him that he needed to take off his hat. So he did. Then she said he could not make a face, that he should smile. He replied by saying, this is the look I always have on my face...if she only new that was so true. :)
While Sabrina and the rest of them waited in a long line for Indiana Jones my mom took Kenzie to see the princesses. She even brought her one of her princess dresses. Grandma's are the best. Here is her sad face because the line was taking forever.
While Kenzie and my mom were in line Camille and I entertained ourselves. Silly girl.
Ah, she finally made it to the princesses. Pure joy :)
On a side note, have you ever noticed how much makeup they have on. Oh my goodness it is crazy.

Oh I love Disneyland!!! But I agree the crowds can be murderous... we went 2 years ago at Christmas and I nearly swore to myself I would NEVER visit the happiest place on earth again! BUT - we are going in early March, I am ecstatic and Owen asks me everyday about it - he is going to be the PERFECT age, let's just hope Nigel cooperates.
PS - I love your hair dark, and you are beautiful!
Your girls are so cute. Camille is getting so big. I wouldn't even recognize her, but that smile is the best! I totally agree with your brother about crowds and Disneyland. I'm not a big fan, but the kids love it so we go ... once every 5 years. Ha! (such a good mom I am ... NOT)
If it makes you feel better I would have been mad that they were an hour and a half late and probably been mad all day. So hears to you for being the bigger person.
It doesn't get much better than that! I'll have to remember you have passes....
Can you tell it's been a long time since I've seen your blog. Our computer got messed up in the move and I had to look up the address again. I love, love your hair. You look amazing in those pics!
