Thankful

As Thanksgiving 2009 approaches I am honestly filled with immense gratitude for so many things in my life.

• I am thankful to have a good husband who makes me and the girls his priority. He is truly the most involved daddy I have ever met. He makes being a dad look like so much fun. He reads to them, teaches them the gospel, plans adventures, disciplines them, and most of all adores them.
• I am thankful for our 3 beautiful, healthy daughters. There are days that I can not believe that I am so blessed to be their mommy. They teach me more than I could have ever imagined. They are my life!
• I am thankful that we are in the Navy. We are blessed in so many ways. I am honored to be in the company of so many honorable, loving people. We have job security and phenomenal health care.
• I am thankful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My testimony has always been a constant in my life. I have leaned on it many times throughout the years. I am thankful for the opportunities to serve.
• I am thankful for my parents. They have taught me what unconditional love is. I am grateful that we are a drive away from seeing them. They are amazing grandparents. I have never doubted that they would be there for me if I needed them.
• I am thankful to be able to own a home and that it is still standing.
• I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to work but still be home and raise the girls. I believe I am a better mom because I take a few hours a week to make sure my brain is still working :) I am thankful to still have teaching jobs.
• I am thankful for friends who keep me smiling, sane, and like me for me. As I have gotten older I am even more grateful for true lifelong friends.
