Earlier in the week, Sabrina had her class party. Here is my "Tigger." I have to share something she told me. When she told the kids in her class that she was dressing up as Tigger, one of the boys said, "That is a baby costume." She came home that day and told me it hurt her feelings but that this boy is always mean. I asked her if she wanted to wear her other costume (the police officer you saw in an earlier blog) and she said "No, I am still going to be Tigger." I was so proud of her for not changing her costume because of a stupid boy. So she went to school dressed as Tigger and came hope so happy. She said, "Mom, during the parade all of the older kids at school wanted to give Tigger (me) a high five. The kept yelling Hey, Tigger. See they liked Tigger. --- doesn't know what he is talking about." And then later in the day one of the other boys started to tease her and say, "Tigger is a baby costume." She said that she turned and gave her famous mean/stearn look and he quickly said, "Ahh, and a big kids costume." She was so proud of herself for standing up to those boys. I was so proud of her for being her. I actually get choked up everytime I remember this conversation.
This year the girls picked out their own pumpkins at the pumpkin patch and decorated them as dogs.
You may have noticed in past posts that Sabrina was a police officer and Mackenzie a ballerina. Well, their official costumes were Tigger and Minnie Mouse. Take a closer look and you will see Sabrina's invention. She could not see through Tigger's mask so she found a clip to use so that she could see. She is so creative.
Minnie Mouse is posing as a "mouse." Mackenzie is such a ham.
